The Shipwright’s Arms Hotel — Shippies’ to the locals — was established in 1846. Situated in the heart of historic Battery Point, it has a unique collection of Tasmanian and maritime memorabilia.The English-style bar (built by a shipwright) features Tasmanian timbers — and log fires keep it cosy in winter.

    Every time we visit Hobart, we make a point of enjoying a meal at The Shipwright’s Arms. We love the atmosphere of the place. Our absolute favourite dish is your seafood chowder and the crusty cob…. simply divine.

    We cannot wait to visit you all again!

    Have been going to tasssie for last four years The shipwrights arms is our pub of choice best staff best service and great accomodation.
    Gordon and Judy proprietors ,Aaron their son and Adi bar manager are the most welcoming people who deserve the plaudits.
