Not sure if you are set up for comments but last Tuesday’s QLD was just sensational from every perspective – the weather was OK, the crowd was fantastic and the Kravats were nothing short of bloody brilliant. Well done – cannot wait for 2008!

Quote of the day from a well known local with an infectious laugh that rivals Kerry “Skull” O’Keefe – “I’ve paid $300 a ticket to see international acts in Melbourne and Sydney and have not enjoyed them anywhere near as much as I have enjoyed today.”

Having lived in Hobart some years ago, I have fond memories of Shippies bar and bistro.

Now back on the mainland I have referred my friends to your website to get a better idea of what I’ve been talking about.

The stories and photos make it a really interesting website and project Shippies in a really good way to potential visitors.

Seen on this picture are Labor union members marching through Broad Street, Newark New Jersey, carrying theire signs reading “We want beer” in protest of prohibition. The photo was published on Oct. 31. 1931 and is now part of the New York World-Telegram & Sun Newspaper Photograph Collection, a subdivision of the Library of Congress in Washington.

Wow… I photoshopped these together a few years ago for a Fark competition (I think the theme was Public Service Announcements you never see) and here they are floating around cyberspace… too funny.

nice one, but a keg top would be a better fit……..with a stress release valve, also known as belching and farting, to direct same in required direction
